Beginning in 1851, with the work of photographer, William Henry Fox Talbot and later with Eadweard Muybridge’s famous motion studies, innovators have continued to explore and improve high speed photography. Professional and amateur photographers have historically been drawn to catching motion. Vintage photographs freezing action, impact, explosion, or surprising movement are dramatic and exciting.
